So what’s the big deal?

Yeah, so Ferrari managed to scrape points in Kimi. That was not what was expected from the once-existing giant. What was worrisome was the way they managed to screw up Massa's KERS analysis. First they say its faulty and call him in before LAP 15! Then, they say its OK. What the heck was Stephen Dome doing in this scenario? Heck, since Luca was also there, I hope he kicks some righteous a$$.

And yet, Luca gave an interview subsequently stating the reasons for Ferrari's failure. I was very disappointed by that. Note that he gave reasons, NOT STEPS TO BRING FERRARI BACK INTO CONTENTION!!

I wouldn't blame him. If you're clueless about what your place in the technology is, if you have taken success to your head so that you cannot correctly interpret the rules on the diffusers, if you have two lousy drivers – one of them having a penchant for eating ice cream and getting photographed globally – during a race, and if you REALLY STILL have no ideas what it is that is not enabling you to become competitive, you generally tend to spout nonsense the way Luca did during the interview. All acceptances of the problems, but YET NO SOLUTIONS.

I don't see Ferrari resurging. Period.

Whether Luca was there during the first bad period or not. But maybe, just maybe, Luca should look at Ferrari's history and what I have been saying all along. The BEST PARTS of FERRARI's HISTORY were when they had FANTASTIC DRIVERS – Prost and Schumacher.

Maybe Luca just doesn't get it yet. Maybe he cannot accept it. Maybe he can, but actually has no replacements. Maybe he has no choice. But either way, there is EXCESSIVE focus on the car, not enough on the drivers. Both Ferrari's drivers at the moment are mediocre.

Only hope? Alonso for Ferrari 2010. 'Nuff said!

Mere 2-3 hours before Bahrain 2009

Well, not even in the Top 5.

I guess THAT is what we'll be seeing much, in this season. However, it runs deeper. I doubt if Ferrari are EVER going to resurge. Even if they abandon the entire car development this season, they will not regain their former glory. That is a given. Unless, they take a big risk (that what Luca thinks it is) and take Alonso on their side. And force Massa to play second fiddle to him. Ferrari should not keep Kimi. I don't even have the energy to say anything bad about this guy. What a waste.

The team principal should follow. Ferrai should kick him with Kimi before 2010 begins. But it's doubtful. Senior management have faith in themselves. But unfortunately that sometimes results in turning a blind eye to all signals and wearing blinders.

Luca, wake up!!

Don't do this to Ferrari, man! I mean, come on!! A guy who has lived the era of Todt, Brawn and Schumacher is now unable to judge good drivers?

Luca, I repeat. The key to success is GOOD DRIVERS. Not a good car. Keep Kimi and Massa in a good car and they will STILL not win. They are mediocre drivers. Take Alonso. Please man, I promise to buy one of your Ferrari twin turbos if you do that… heh!

Finally Luca, remember your statement to Hamilton. "Usually, it is Ferrari doing the choosing…" Well, this and 2010 like this and it's all over for Ferrari. Wake up and smell the coffee before it's too late. AND GET SOME FANTASTIC DRIVERS.

So, Massa thinks Ferrai can resurge, eh? (Not a snowball's chance in hell!)

What’s with everyone in Ferrai knocking themselves over to prove to the fans that they can still win the Championships (Drivers, Constructors, Whiners... whatever!) as they still have a lot of races to go? Can’t Luca make out a lost season when it hits him in the eyes? This season is Fcuked! (yes, the spelling mistake is intentional). Stephano Dome should stop spouting nonsense like we will fight and we will win and we will do something as race season is long. The official Ferrari blocker... oops, sorry, driver Massa recently asked Tifosi to have faith in Ferrai. You’ve got to be fcuking kidding me! (yes, yes, I know, another spelling mistake). Ferrari WILL NOT win. No constructors championship and DEFINITELY not the driver’s championship what with both lousy drivers they have.

Now Alonso was on my hate list in 2006. He defeated Schumacher, after all. But that guy did it in all fairness. And he gets my nod of the hat for that. Luca should open his eyes and instead of extending Kimi’s contract till this year, should have booted him, with a generous dollop of ice creams as the contract cancellation fees, of course! I cannot STILL belive how a world champion like him can eat ice cream in full view of global race coverage. What the heck was he thinking? I know he’s laid back and all that sort, but I’m beginning to think he’s called THE ICEMAN, not because he has ice in his veins, but cold water in his brains.

Bahrain? No show again. That’s what I predict. Ferrai are doomed to go into the dusty corners of history. And I doubt if 2010 is going to be different (mark my words!). Ferrari is a spent force. They have no good drivers. They have no good team boss. They have no good team director. What the hell are they earning so much money for? If Ross Brawn wanted to be promoted, Luca should have. But I guess that nationalism runs deeper than professionalism. But wait till it starts hitting Luca that no matter, I mean, NO MATTER what he does, Ferrai is not going to resurge, then all his ITALIAN NATIONALIZATION of the team will go down the drain. Reality is known to do such things.

I am betting Luca is getting sleepless nights as Ferrai slide in mediocrity. Luca, its not too late. Wake up! And for god’s sake, remove those blinders off! Give us back the Ferrari of 2004!!!

Sigh! Somehow, I doubt it.

Signing off...

Not surprising...

It's nothing new. I have been predicting this for a long time now. Ferrari are NOT going to be where they were before. The ONLY way that is going to happen, is if Fernando Alonso gets to drive and Stephen is REMOVED from his role as team principal... that guy is useless.

I also think AFTER 2009, Kimi will NOT get any offers. It pained me to see Luca, Ferrari's boss make a big hue and cry about losing in the 2.5 hours meeting where he is purported to have brought a monk's hood. Instead he should be kicking Kimi's ass for eating ice cream on live television when the race was on. That moron should be relegated to Indy 500 races with Montana (remember him?)

Massa? Not enough metal in him to win. He is not championship material.

I still say, Ferrari is losing because they do not have GOOD drivers. They have crappy drivers. Luca should drink 2 parts gin and 5 parts Vodka in the same gulp, then think SERIOUSLY about it. Ferrari is NOT Ferrari because of who it is. Ferrari is Ferrari because of the drivers.

And while you can continue to deny it till you are on the streets, reality will show you what is the truth.

The 2007 and 2008 constructors championships were won on the AFTERGLOW of the Todt/Schumacher/Ross era. Make no mistakes about it.

I wonder how the PRESIDENT of Ferrai can be so blind.
